Audience: University Students, Club organizers, SU members
Client: The Student’s Union Clubs
This project was created in cooperation with the Student’s Union Clubs at the University of Calgary. As a client of mine during an internship as a graphics and marketing assistant with the SU, Clubs required a ‘Registered Club’ logo and accompanied marketing material for print and digital formatting. The project emphasizes a student–centred approach in its design and content in showcasing the extracurricular nature of establishing a registered club.
Logo, Visual Identity System & Marketing Collateral
Students’ Union Clubs / Club Hub use the same colours and typefaces used within the SU branding system. In particular, Club Hub omits the use of green and emphasizes the SU blue and orange for their brand. All Clubs logos utilize text within a circular shape, and the Registered logo uses a similar form for consistency within the Clubs’ brand. Although the logo was designed to keep in mind both digital and print, it is not used on business cards but within marketing fliers and LOOP advertising.
Along with a logo, information was required as a print guide for students. The Registered Club Survival Guide is a print leaflet outlining information, guides and workshop dates for students to become (and remain) a registered club with Club Hub. The leaflet was designed with the same consistent clubs brand of bold colouring and SU branding. The front and back page is displayed below.
